Digimon: New Destiny - Chapter 1: Old Friends

Tai, Davis, and their friends were at the fields at the camp where they first entered the Digital World. The people there were Matt, Micheal, TK, Mimi, Joe, Izzy, Sora, Kari, Yolei, Cody, Ken, and Willis,  along with their Digimon, Agumon, Veemon, Gabumon, Betamon, Patamon, Palmon, Gomamon, Tentomon, Biyomon, Gatomon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Wormmon, and Terriermon.

Meanwhile with Takato and the others, they were hanging by Rika's house. Ryo, Henry, Jeri, Susie, Kazu, Kenta, Ai, Mako, and Alice. They also had their Digimon with them, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Calumon, Cyberdramon, Impmon, MarineAngemon, Guardramon, and Lopomon.

They were having a good time like the other DigiDestined were. Rika and Cyberdramon on the other hand didn't enjoy the company much, but they tried not to mind much. Everything was going great until…

Jeri then had a surprised look on her face, she heard a voice…"Huh? Who's there?" She then looked out the window, but saw no one.

"L…..Leomon?….No, its probably my imagination.." She then looked relieved, thinking she was gonna burst into tears when she saw him, she then looked back at the others, feeling more relieved that they didn't notice here outburst.

"Jeri come on! We're gonna play Truth or Dare!" Calumon said.

"Oh, ok then!" She hurried to the others to get started on the game.

The blonde haired boy saw Rika's house, then he saw Guilmon suddenly running out, with tears running down his eyes, looking like he just saw a Soap Oprah.

"IT BURNS IT BURNS! WATER! WATER!! I NEED WATER!!!" He then rush to a nearby hose and turned it on, then started drinking like he was in a desert. The blonde boy had to admit, this was surprising even to him.

"Guilmon! There you are!" Takato rushed to him. "I told you Daring that wasn't such a good idea!" Henry followed him along with Terriermon.

"If you ask me, the red pepper he just ate got a stronger punch than his Pyro Sphere attack.." Terriermon joked. "Cant argue with you on that one.." Henry replied in a dull tone, as if it was painful to agree with his Digimon's witty jokes. "Seriously, you guys are so lame, especially you, Goggle Head.." An all too familiar voice sounded. "Oh, Hey Rika.." Henry said.

"Next time, don't make dares that makes people go crazy and knock over everything like bowling pins.." Rika sighed. "Yeah, I got that.." Takato groaned.

The blonde kid then looked at them, smiling a bit too, it was obvious that he was glad they were having fun. He soon figured he has stayed for too long, so then he turned forward then proceeded to walk off when suddenly…

"Hey Vincent, long time no see!" Takato said. "Huh?" The boy known as Vincent looked to see Takato staring straight at him. "O-o-ohh..uhh..hey.." he said. "Where are you going?" Takato asked. "I won't know until I get there.." Vincent said. "So in other words, just traveling?" Takato asked. "Yeah, you can say that.." Vincent replied. "Well, you wanna hang with us for a bit? We haven't seen you in a while." Takato offered. "M-me? Uhhh….I-I gotta-" Vincent wasn't really one to be around people, especially since he's one to distant himself away from others for the sake of trying to be less..involved.

"Vincent-mooooon!!!" Guilmon shouted out before charging straight towards the kid. "Gah!!" Vincent didn't have enough time to react before the reptilian hug-tackled him to the ground. He could've sworn some of the spectators were laughing at him under their breath.  "N-nice to meet you too.." Vincent said, trying to play it cool, but in the end, this was embarrassing. "Im so glad to see you again!" He then proceeded to snuggling the boy's cheek like a teddy bear. "H-h-hey, don't get carried away!" He blushed a little, still frozen in embarrassment.

"So he's here too, Rika?" Renamon said, coming into the scene. "Oh, Renamon, yeah, this kid's here…" Rika said. "Aren't you gonna invite him?" The female ninja asked. "Even if I said no, that won't stop the Three Stooges.." Rika said.  "Rika, cut it out, thats Takato, Guilmon, and…..who?" Henry said, hoping it wasn't him, he's too mature to-

 "You Henry." Rika said, immediately crushing his hopes of not being the Third Stooge. "What!?" Henry said in shock, and at the same time, despairing inside. "Lets face it, you're just as lame as those two.." Rika said coldly, which made Henry a bit more shocked, but not too surprised since Rika was the cold type..but only sometimes when being more mature. Regardless, Henry feels on the inside..well let's just say a certain song can describe in an exaggerated way how Henry feels, something like "Wake Me Up Inside".

"And what am I?"Ryo said, coming into the scene in a casual way.  "Oh..hey Ryo." Henry said, slowly recovering from his inner despair. "Oh, you're their Nephew." Rika said casually. "Ouch, that hurts" Ryo joked. "Like a Porcupinemon!" Terriermon said. "Don't get involved, it'll only tick her off more.." Henry sighed. "I was just getting along with him." Terriermon said, wondering why Henry looked slightly bummed. "Don't push it." Rika warned, glaring at Terriermon. "O-ok" The long eared Digimon said, feeling that ice-cold stare freeze his very soul..or at least he imagined.

 "You can get off me now, please?" Vincent asked, already having enough of the Guilmon Cuddlefest. "Oh ok." The red lizard said, then gets off me, but grabs the boy's hand and drags the kid with him, much to said kid's dismay. "Come on, everyone will be happy to see you!" Guilmon said. "H-hey! Quit it! Let go!" Vincent said, but no avail, the little boy wasn't strong enough to break free..next thing he knew, he's inside Rika's house, being greeted by everyone. "Hey, hows it goin', kid?" Impmon greeted. "Great I guess.." the little guy said, clearly not in the best of moods being dragged into something he had no time for.

"May I treat you to some scrumptious snacks?" Rika's Mother asked. "N-no thanks.." Vincent said, clearly not used to this. "You wanna play Truth or Dare?" Calumon asked. "N-n-no thanks, I don't wanna be a victim here.." Vincent said. "Suit yourself." Impmon. Vincent Christopher then sat at a nearby rug and watched the whole thing, and so far, seeing everyone get along with their Digimon partners, like they did when he first met them. He can only wonder what having a Digimon Partner feels like..
